Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 27, 2026
TabPulse is an independent software project that makes a WooCommerce plugin. This policy explains what personal data is handled in two places: this website (tabpulse.net) and the internal TabPulse marketing assistant, a private tool used by the developer to organize the project's email and marketing work (registered with Google as plataforma-agencia).
1. This website
- tabpulse.net has no user accounts, no forms, no advertising and no tracking cookies.
- We measure aggregate traffic with Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-focused service that does not use cookies or local storage to follow visitors across sites. We see page views and visit counts, not who you are.
- The demo video on the home page and in our guides is hosted on YouTube. Nothing from YouTube loads until you press play; then the video loads from youtube-nocookie.com and YouTube's own privacy policy applies.
- Purchases of the Pro plan are handled by Freemius at checkout.freemius.com, under Freemius's own privacy policy. Freemius shares with us the order and license information needed to deliver the product and provide support.
- How the free plugin itself handles data is described in its WordPress.org listing.
2. The TabPulse marketing assistant and Google user data
The assistant is a private application used by a single person, its developer. It connects to one Gmail mailbox owned by the developer (the mailbox that receives support requests, partnership proposals and WordPress.org notices for TabPulse and the developer's other projects).
What it accesses. Only the read-only Gmail permission https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.readonly. It cannot send, delete, move or modify any message, label or setting.
Why. To read incoming messages, sort them into simple categories (support, partnership, sales, WordPress.org, automatic notification), and notify the developer so that he can reply himself. The assistant never replies on its own.
What it stores. For each message: sender name and address, subject, date, the category, and, only for messages written by people, a short text excerpt (at most 1,500 characters) from which passwords, access tokens and email addresses are removed. For automatic messages (notifications, newsletters, security alerts) no body text is stored at all.
Where and who can see it. The data is stored on a private server in Helsinki, Finland, behind authentication. Only the developer can see it. No employees, contractors or third parties have access.
How long. Stored messages are deleted automatically 180 days after they were received, and sooner if the developer deletes them.
What we do not do. We do not sell Google user data, we do not share it with third parties, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not use it to train artificial intelligence models. The content of messages is not sent to any AI service.
TabPulse's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Revoking access. Access can be revoked at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. After revocation the assistant can no longer read the mailbox.
3. If you write to us
If you email the support mailbox, your message is processed as described above: it is read by the developer, categorized and kept for up to 180 days. You can ask us to delete it earlier, or to tell you what we hold about you, by writing to the address below.
4. Security
Access credentials are kept outside the application's source code, in files readable only by the service account on the server, and all connections use HTTPS. The application is protected behind an authentication layer.
5. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the date at the top will be updated. We will not extend what we do with Google user data without first updating this page.
6. Contact
Questions, access or deletion requests: hello@tabpulse.net.
