Terms of Service
Last updated: October 22, 2026
These terms apply to the TabPulse WordPress plugin (the free version published on WordPress.org and the paid Pro version), to Pro licenses, and to this website, tabpulse.net. TabPulse is an independent software project; in these terms, "we" means its developer and "you" means the person or business that installs the plugin or buys a license. By installing TabPulse or buying a license you agree to these terms.
In short: TabPulse is provided as is. You run your store and you decide how TabPulse is configured, including whether to offer discounts and how much. Our liability is limited to what you paid us for your license in the last 12 months.
1. The software and its license
- The free and Pro versions of TabPulse are distributed under the GNU General Public License, version 2 or later (GPL). The GPL governs your rights to use, study, modify and share the code.
- A Pro license gives you, for the period you paid for and for the number of sites in your plan, access to the Pro features, automatic updates and support.
- The features of each version are those described on this website and in the plugin's listing at the time you install it or buy it. We do not sell features that do not exist yet.
2. Purchases, trials, renewals and refunds
- Pro licenses are sold and processed by Freemius at checkout.freemius.com, under Freemius's own terms and privacy policy. We do not see or store your payment details.
- The 14-day free trial does not require a payment method. When it ends, Pro features stop until you buy a license; the free features keep working.
- Licenses renew automatically every year unless you cancel the renewal before the renewal date. You can cancel at any time from your Freemius account or by writing to us; your license stays active until the end of the period you already paid for.
- Refunds follow the refund policy shown at checkout when you buy.
3. Your responsibilities as a store owner
- You are responsible for your store: its products, prices, taxes, terms of sale and the laws that apply to it, including consumer-protection and privacy laws.
- You decide which TabPulse features to turn on and how to configure them. We recommend trying changes on a staging copy of your site and keeping regular backups, as with any plugin.
- You are responsible for keeping WordPress, WooCommerce, your theme and your other plugins compatible and up to date.
4. Discounts and auto-coupons (Pro)
- Auto-coupons are off by default. If you turn them on, the coupons are created by your own WooCommerce store, with the amount, minimum cart total and limits that you choose.
- A TabPulse coupon never pays out money: it can only lower the price of a real purchase on your store. Each coupon is single-use, does not stack with other coupons, requires the minimum cart total you set and expires after 24 hours.
- Since Pro version 1.2.0, TabPulse also includes safeguards against misuse: a daily limit on new coupons (30 by default), one discount per customer email every 30 days (by default), an optional limit of one coupon per connection, and warnings when coupons are issued unusually often. Keep TabPulse updated to have them. These safeguards reduce misuse; no system can prevent every possible misuse, for example a person using several email addresses.
- How you configure discounts is your decision. We are not responsible for discounts granted according to your settings, including discounts obtained by customers or third parties using the feature in ways you did not intend.
5. Figures shown by TabPulse
Counters and revenue figures (returns detected, coupons, "recovered revenue") are calculated from your own store data to help you understand how TabPulse performs. Revenue attributed with a coupon is labeled as certain; revenue from customers who came back and bought without a coupon is labeled as probable, because they might have bought anyway. These figures are not accounting or tax records and are not a promise of results.
6. No warranty
TabPulse is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, as also stated in the GPL. We do not guarantee that TabPulse will recover any particular number of carts or amount of revenue, or that it will work without interruption or errors with every theme, plugin or hosting setup.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, including lost profits, lost revenue, lost sales, discounts granted, lost data or business interruption, even if we were told they were possible.
- Our total liability for any claim related to TabPulse, a license or this website is limited to the amount you paid us for your TabPulse license in the 12 months before the event that gave rise to the claim. If you use only the free version, that amount is zero.
Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be limited under the law that applies to you.
8. Third-party services
TabPulse works with software and services we do not control, such as WordPress, WooCommerce, your hosting, Freemius (licenses and payments) and Cloudflare (this website). Their own terms apply to them, and we are not responsible for their availability or behavior.
9. Support
Support for the free version is offered in the WordPress.org support forum. Support for Pro is offered by email during your license period. We answer as soon as we reasonably can; we do not guarantee response times.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Changes do not apply retroactively to a license period you have already paid for, unless the law requires it.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Mexico, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, except where the law of your country gives you protections that cannot be waived.
